I'm Far Too Addicted to the Implicit Association Tests

Today, for the first time ever, I managed to figure out how to do actual sewing on a sewing machine. It was marvelous. I'm in love with the thing already.

And then I took more Implicit Association Tests. Now you'll know everything you ever wanted to know about my subconscious preferences, ever.

Your data suggest a moderate preference for BOOKS relative to TELEVISION (Believe you me . . .)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for CHRISTIANS relative to JEWS (Huh? I've been an atheist my entire life, so where would I have acquired Christian biases? And I know almost nothing about Judaism, so how could it possibly outweigh my profound dislike of Christianity?)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for COKE relative to PEPSI (Not true! I hate both of them equally, I tell you!)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for DEMOCRATS relative to REPUBLICANS (Yes indeed)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for FAMILY relative to CAREER (I'm not in the least surprised)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for FEMALE relative to MALE (Actually, I wouldn't have been greatly surprised by any result at all on this one)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for FLEXIBLE relative to STABLE (Interesting, though a bit odd since I myself am actually quite well-known for my extreme stability and stubborn inflexibility)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for FREEDOM relative to SECURITY (This depends upon how much resemblance the people in charge of "security" bear to George W. Bush, though)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for FUTURE relative to PAST (But really I'm on pretty good terms with both of them)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for IMPRISON relative to CAPITAL PUNISHMENT (Yes indeed!)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for LABOR relative to MANAGEMENT (Hardly surprising, in view of which group I'm a member of)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for SOCIAL PROGRAMS relative to TAX REDUCTIONS (True enough)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for TEA relative to COFFEE (But I've never tried either of them!)
Your data suggest a moderate preference for TEEN POP relative to JAZZ (Oh shush, don't tell anyone! I really dislike both of them!)

Your data suggest a slight preference for APPLE relative to MICROSOFT (Uh, really? 'Cause I've used MacIntoshes at college, but I've only ever owned PCs with Microsoft operating systems)
Your data suggest a slight preference for ATHEISM relative to RELIGION (Only slight? I'd be interested in meeting anyone who manages to dislike religion more than I do)
Your data suggest a slight preference for DENZEL WASHINGTON relative to TOM CRUISE (But I've never seen a movie with either of them in it! Tom Cruise is just icky looking somehow, though, and Denzel isn't)
Your data suggest a slight preference for RELAXING relative to EXERCISING (Quite so!)

Your data suggest little or no preference for EUROPEAN AMERICAN relative to AFRICAN AMERICAN (Yay me)
Your data suggest little or no preference for GORE relative to BUSH (I think that's overstating the case somewhat, but I did vote for the Socialist candidate, David McReynolds, against both of them)
Your data suggest little or no preference for GUN CONTROL relative to GUN RIGHTS (Excuse me???!!!???)
Your data suggest little or no preference for JULIA ROBERTS relative to MEG RYAN (Naturally, since I've never seen a movie with either of them in it!)
Your data suggest little or no preference for MCDONALDS relative to BURGER KING (Not true: I have major problems with both of them but my boycott against Burger King is far more long-standing and firmly entrenched)
